Recently, Hisense Communications teamed up with Qualcomm Technologies to launch a 5G NTN satellite handheld terminal at the 2024 Mobile World Congress held in Barcelona, Spain, showcasing to the world the use of Qualcomm technology ® QCM6490 processor and Qualcomm ®  Satellite mobile handheld solution for 212S modem.

NTN is an important supplement to terrestrial cellular communication technology and one of the technical directions for direct connection of mobile phones to satellites. The integration of satellite communication networks and ground 5G networks can provide ubiquitous coverage capabilities without being limited by terrain and topography, connecting multi-dimensional spaces such as space, sky, earth, and sea, forming an integrated ubiquitous access network that enables on-demand access to all scenarios.
